Just a few days, but I spent two crying on the floor first. In retrospect I have no idea how my parents didn't lose their mind with worry. I know exactly what he's going through and I'm still almost doing that.
Sounds great. By the way, he also dropped some snacks from mid-air above the balcony when it hit him. I doubt there's anything salvageable but if you spot anything when you come home, that might help cheer him up.
I'll check for balcony snacks after sneaking in. Is chewing going to be too loud for right now? I can grab smoothies. Or anything else he likes swallowing that isn't carbonated.
